Supply Chain Executive Dashboard

This dashboard suite gives supply chain leadership end-to-end visibility into a cosmetics, haircare, and skincare product portfolio from supplier and manufacturing quality through to shipping, logistics, and final delivery. It spans three connected report pages Shipments & Logistics, Manufacturing & Quality, and a SKU Detail drill-through tracking ₹578K in total revenue, a 99.09% profit margin, and a 2.28 average defect rate across five suppliers and multiple carriers, routes, and transportation modes. The result is a single operational view that connects product quality on the factory floor to cost, delay, and revenue outcomes downstream.

Igniting Powerful Insights

  • The Challenge Manufacturing quality data, supplier performance, and shipping/logistics costs lived in separate operational silos, making it difficult to trace a delayed shipment or a low-quality score back to its root cause, a specific supplier, route, or carrier. Leadership had revenue and margin numbers, but no way to connect a 2.28 average defect rate to the shipments and customers it was actually affecting.
  • The Process Production, inspection, and logistics data were cleaned and linked in Power Query, then modelled around common dimensions like Supplier, Product Type, Location, Route, and Carrier, so quality and shipping metrics could be sliced consistently. Core DAX measures (Quality Score, Total Revenue, Profit Margin %, Avg. Order Value, Total Shipping Cost) were built once and reused from the executive summary down to individual SKU-level drill-throughs.
  • Complexity and Innovation The model connects manufacturing-floor metrics (defect rate by supplier, inspection status: Pass/Fail/Pending) directly to downstream logistics outcomes (cost by route and mode, delays per route, carrier on-time vs delayed performance). A Cost-vs-Quality scatter plot by SKU and a geographic Shipping Cost by Location map add a spatial and product-level lens that a flat report couldn't provide. A dedicated SKU Detail drill-through page lets any user click from a summary chart straight into the full cost, quality, and delivery history of a single SKU.
  • Adaptive Learning for Enhanced Accuracy Defect rate and quality thresholds (High/Low/Medium defect categories) were refined per supplier as more inspection data came in, and delay patterns by route and carrier were re-evaluated over time to distinguish one-off delays from systemic carrier or route issues — sharpening which suppliers, routes, and carriers actually needed intervention.

You can't fix a delay or a defect at the summary level you have to be able to drill down to the exact supplier, route, or SKU where the problem actually started.

Enhancing Accuracy in Supply Chain Quality & Logistics Tracking

The dashboard suite combines manufacturing quality data, supplier performance, and shipping/logistics costs into one governed model, so a single defect rate or shipping cost figure means the same thing whether viewed at the executive summary or drilled all the way down to an individual SKU.

  • Real-time executive KPI cards for Quality Score, Total Revenue, Profit Margin %, and Average Order Value
  • Product revenue breakdown by customer type (Female, Male, Non-Binary, Unknown) across Cosmetics, Haircare, and Skincare
  • Supplier contribution to revenue and defect rate by supplier, with Pass/Fail/Pending inspection status
  • Logistics distribution by mode (Road, Air, Rail, Sea) with cost and delay tracking by route
  • Carrier performance comparison (on-time vs delayed shipments) and average shipping time by route
  • SKU-level drill-through showing total revenue, shipping cost, gross profit, quality score, and delivery/inspection results for any individual product

Transforming Supply Chain Decision-Making

What began as separate manufacturing and logistics reports has become a connected view linking factory-floor quality directly to shipping cost, delays, and revenue. Connects manufacturing quality data directly to downstream shipping cost and delay outcomes

  • Identifies underperforming suppliers, routes, and carriers through consistent, drill-through-ready metrics
  • Turns defect rate and inspection data into actionable supplier accountability
